Our whiskey barrel bar with tall doors starts with an authentic bourbon whiskey barrel sourced from a local distillery, cut open for an internal liquor cabinet, with double doors. The taller doors make it easier to get the contents in and out.
Choose from one of our three color options: polyurethane only, chestnut, or walnut.
Several screws are added to the rings to keep it from getting loose as it dries out. The rings and screws are painted black and wood stained with either dark walnut or chestnut stain (or no stain). Polyurethane applied for the finish to the inside and outside of the barrel. Sealing the inside with polyurethane is important to keep the dust and char on the inside of the barrel from getting the inside dirty.
We offer several shelving options for this barrel cabinet. An authentic barrel lid can be used as a stationary shelf, or we offer lazy susans made from either pine or oak.
Lighting options:
1. Motion sensing battery white light – The light features a rechargeable battery. The motion sensing feature can be turned on or off. You can also adjust the brightness of the light.
2. Plug in – features white and a several other colors to choose from. Turns on/off with a remote.
Safety has is located on the doors so you can lock your barrel up if needed.
We sand the whiskey barrel bar to make it smooth enough to dust while trying preserve as much of the original character as possible. This character is also called “patina” and it ensures that every barrel is just a little different than all the others we make. You can trust that nobody else has a barrel bar that looks exactly like yours!
The lid can also be customized if you’d like for a $50. We use a Cricut to cut a stencil and then paint the design on using black paint. We won’t put trademarked logos, images, or lettering on the barrel when doing customization.
